La Croissanterie offers a full range of lunch time items, from Jacket Potatoes, so Paninis, Pastries and made-to-order sandwiches. The range is good. However this is in my opinion the weakest of the four branches in Oxford - the rest of which I rate very highly.
This is largely due to the person who works behind the counter (no idea if this is the owner), who has an agressive attitude and is extremely unwelcoming.
I once accompanied a friend who politely asked for their panini to be pressed a little longer (the cheese hadn’t fully melted) and she responded by banging around in the kitchen noisily, looking most disgruntled and then proceeded to burn his panini to a crisp.
I’ve also had her shout abuse at me for lingering in her doorway too long when it was raining.
I’ve been back on the odd occasion since because it’s so convenient for my house, and the sandwiches are good, but they’d get a lot more business if they had different staff.
I also note that on more than one occasion their ham has looked less than fresh.
